Hypertension

Hypertension, also known as high or raised blood pressure, is a condition in which the blood vessels have persistently raised pressure above 140/90 mmHg. Blood pressure is the force exerted by circulating blood against the walls of the body’s arteries, the major blood vessels in the body.

Symptoms of Hypertension

Hypertension is usually asymptomatic until the diagnosis is made. It is also known as ‘silent killer’ since it cause damage to cardiovascular system. There are no specific symptoms to diagnose hypertension; however any of following symptoms may be present.

Diet

  • Eat more fruits, vegetables, and low-fat foods.
